Disney Planning DVDs

Postby NeverlandNancie » Wed May 06, 2009 2:08 pm

One of the Vacation Planning DVD tracks was playing and made me think of this question. I order the DVD every couple of years (even if no trip is planned) just to see what all has changed and feel like I am there for a few moments!

I think I order them anytime I think they've changed. I love seeing them but at the same time I get mad because of how much footage they reuse in the DVD year to year. :mickballoon:

That makes me mad too. I have the Video Tapes from the 90's (that I'm not so patiently waiting on my brother to transfer to DVD), so it is neat to see how much has changed over the years.

The other thing that makes me mad in Disney Theme Park promo video is when they use Disneyland attraction footage in Walt Disney World promos and visa versa. I know most people don't notice, but it's that attention to detail that made Disney Theme Parks what they are, so why can't they ensure that they're using the correct footage?????? This one always sticks in my mind, In the 90's I think McDonalds was having kid's meal toys for Disneyland's 40th and there was a Splash Mountain toy with a viewfinder, when you looked in it you saw a picture of a Splash Mountain boat going down the hill with people in it. Well wouldn't you know it was a WDW Splash Mountain boat with Disneyland written on the bottom of the picture :x
